A brilliant performance in the final match of the 2010 season at LVAC Enfield saw a very young Shaftesbury team place 3rd on the day and finish a very creditable 4th overall in the Mens' British Athletics League.
Such was the strength of the opposition that only Nick Smith won an 'A' string event with a 200m victory in 21.80 secs (minus wind speed) following 2nd in the 100m with 10.80 (-4.2mps). Louis Persent won the 'B' string 400m in an impressive 46.87secs; Lloyd Gumbs made a welcome return to fitness with victory in the 'B' 400m Hurdles in a time of 51.22secs while Nathan Fox won the same string in the Triple Jump with 14.28m.
It was fine second place finishes in the end of match relays which secured third team place in a fine competition.
